Elijah Guo, 25, is a NY actor, writer and musician. He received his MFA in Acting from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University, and studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He has B.A.s in both Theater & Performance Studies and English from UC Berkeley.
He created the role of Dabney Ducksworth in ART’s Hansel and Gretel in 2012/13, and has appeared as Epilogue in Will Eno’s The Flu Season, Sergius in Arms and the Man, and Jaques in As You Like It, in addition to other work onstage and on-camera. He is grateful to have worked with playwright Philip Kan Gotanda, Obie-winning director David Levine, and Poet Laureate Robert Hass, among other notable artists.
As a writer, his play Beatrice is in talks for production in NYC. His play Hamilton and Burr was read at the American Conservatory Theater as a winner of the David Mamet Writing Contest. Additionally, he is an experienced pianist, trumpeter and guitarist. He audited the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop last year, and has a blog of plays: playfix.wordpress.com.
